About

Drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum of musical influences, Denver-based producer Dan Chandonnet (Chando) explores several different genres in his productions ranging from house to hip-hop, drum & bass to downtempo, and everything in between. Chando’s sound is driven heavily by keyboard/synth melodies, where the electric piano, piano, or organ is often times the backbone of many of his productions. Adding live sampling, and a little bit of improv to the mix translates to a unique live electronic experience on stage. Chando’s eclectic DJ sets also highlight a wide variety of genres focusing on downtempo, instrumental hip hop, house, melodic bass, and more often than not, will include some live improvisational keys sprinkled throughout.

Enlisting Nate Etter for live performances, Chando brings a unique brand of live electronic music to their on stage performances which features live drums and keys.  Their blend of live electronic dance music, offers music lovers a taste of something different than your typical DJ/Producer, adding live instrumentation and improvisation alongside refined, tight productions.  They have worked crowds in some of Colorado’s premier venues–The Bluebird Theater, The Fox Theatre, The Aggie Theatre, Cervantes’ Other Side, Ophelia’s –while sharing the stage with the likes of Kaminanda, Ott, Phutureprimitive, The Werks, Late Night Radio, Elliot Lipp, and many more. Chando is perpetually expanding their repertoire in order to bring the listener a unique, diversified, electronic music listening experience.
